Foundation Year Drawing (Select Works)

"Fishtank". Charcoal and ink on paper. For this drawing, I used cardboard along with charcoal, ink, and sandpaper. Bending the cardboard, folding it, shredding it, rubbing it and dipping it in the medium proved to be a useful and liberating method of achieveing a variety of marks and textures.

"Unititled" (mixed media, including canvas, nylar, paper, ink, charcol, glue, sand, ink sawdust, oil pastel, chalk)

The assignment required us to create a minumum of 5 "surfaces" by way of material manipulation and transformation. Once we harnessed a process (or processes) to create a unique surface, we were then to arrange them in an "abstract composition"
